Blue skies and sunshine made the first Hovingham Market of the year a pleasure to attend on Saturday, after what seems like weeks of endless grey. I won't go so far as to say it was warm in my shady area but good boots and my winter coat took the edge off. I took a small offering of Cornish outdoor daffodils and scented narcissus and had a more-or-less sellout (just 2 bunches of white narcissus left) which was a good start to the year. The day's market-goers obviously couldn't resist taking a little pinch of spring colour and fragrance home.
Hovingham is the only market I attend. It's small but perfect for spreading the word about British Flowers. I've been going just under a year and it seems to get busier every time. Come and find me there on the first Saturday of the month between 10.30 & 1.30.
